Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)

The Asean Regional Forum was established in 1993 by the ASEAN member States to become an effective consultative Asia-Pacific Forum for promoting open dialogue on political and security cooperation in the region. Sri Lanka’s request to become a ARF Member was accepted by the 39th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and the 13 ARF Meeting held in Malaysia in 2007. Sri Lanka joined the Forum as its 27 Member.
