01. Quarantine Measures for travelers arriving from overseas during the Pandemic 0f COVID-19

The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka informed that the temporary restrictions imposed (effective from with effect from 11:59 pm on 21st May 2021 to 11:59 pm 31st May 2021) for inbound passenger arrivals to Sri Lanka will be removed w.e.f. 1st June 2021 and the related conditions that were effective before 21st May will remain unchanged.

Restriction will continue until further notice, on inbound passengers who have travelled to and/ or remained in India within the past 14 days from the date of their intended return journey to Sri Lanka.

A.) All inbound passengers will be subjected to mandatory quarantine of 14 days as per the guidelines of the Director General of Health Services of Sri Lanka dated 28 May 2021 – Click Here

02. Suspension of transit in Singapore:

From 1st May 2021, 23:59 hours, until further notice, all long-term pass holders and short-term visitors with recent travel history (including transit) to Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka within the last 14 days will not be allowed entry into Singapore, or transit through Singapore. The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration of Thailand has revised the quarantine period to 14 Days for all travellers who wish to enter into the Kingdom of Thailand.

04. The Royal Embassy of Cambodia has informed that individuals could send details for vaccination directly to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) in Cambodia with copy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and to the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Bangkok.

06. Passport Holder of INDIA, SRI LANKA, BANGLADESH, PAKISTAN and NEPAL

Regardless, passengers routing coming from other countries other than gazette banned countries like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka, as long as passengers are holding passports from these banned countries (incl. Diplomatic Passport) they are NOT ALLOWED to transit in KUL to other countries.

KLIA Immigration advised passengers holding said passports to direct transfer from their origin to their end destination without transit in KUL.
