Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, met with a team of potential investors interested in exploring business opportunities in Sri Lanka. The discussion centered around key potential investment sectors in Sri Lanka with a focus on fostering long term collaboration. <\/p>\n

The Embassy and Permanent Mission delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the current investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, emphasizing the country\u2019s strategic location, investor-friendly policies and emerging economic potential. The presentation underscored why Sri Lanka remains an attractive destination for foreign investment. <\/p>\n

The investors expressed keen interest in exploring energy projects, including renewable energy and power generation, as well as ventures in fertilizer manufacturing, given Sri Lanka\u2019s agricultural sector’s growing demand.<\/p>\n

The meeting also included discussions on expanding collaboration in tourism, education, and cultural exchanges, recognizing the synergies between the two countries and the potential to strengthen bilateral ties further.<\/p>\n

This meeting reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to promoting Sri Lanka as a hub for trade, investment, tourism and cultural collaboration, while supporting initiatives that contribute to sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n
