Galle District is bounded on the North by Benthara River, South and west by the Indian Ocean and East by Matara and Rathnapura Districts. Topography of Galle District is very much dissent. The climatic condition of Hiniduma Pattuwa is very similar to the central hill country of Sri Lanka. Among the must see places the ‘Galle Fort’ is a UNESCO World Heritage that belongs to a different era form the rest of the 7 heritage sites, with 14 massive bastions, a rigid system of streets, and some original Dutch Bungalows. It was and still is a bustling port city with a lineup of little street shops selling arts & crafts, cozy café corners still preserving the uniqueness of back then. Galle is an exciting place for a day tour as well, but it is sure to offer a variety of activities as well. More
