Day 1: Morning leave for Galle – the Dutch fortified city, 17th c. fortress bursting with life. Quaint shops. Purchase exquisite hand made lace. Visit Hikkaduwa beach resort en route. Overnight Galle.
Day 2: Morning leave for Tissamaharama gateway to Yala National Park. Afternoon tour of the park. Overnight Tissamaharama/Yala.
Day 3: Morning leave for Rathapura through cross country. Visit Gem mines and Gem museum. Evening return to Colombo.
Kandy, Ancient Cites
Day 1: Morning leave for Kandy hill cradled highland capital visiting the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens en route. Evening visit the Dalada Maligawa, the golden roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha. Shopping & sightseeing. Many interesting temples nearby. Overnight Kandy.
Day 2: Early morning leave for Polonnaruwa visiting the 5th c. Sigiriya Rock Fortress en route. Late evening tour of the medival Capital. Overnight Polonnaruwa.
Day 3: Early morning leave for Anuradhapura (3rd c. BC-8th c.AD). Tour of the Ancient city. After lunch leave for Colombo.
Hill Country, Kandy, Ancient Cities
Day 1: Morning leave for Nuwara Eliya via Kitulgala. Beautiful tea carpeted hill country scenery. Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya mist covered and built by nostalgic British planters. Also visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Overnight Nuwara Eliya.
Day 2: Morning leave for Kandy, the picturesque hill capital visiting tea estate and factory en route. Sightseeing and Shopping. Evening visit the Dalada Maligawa the golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha which brings sanctity to Kandy. Overnight Kandy.
Day 3: Morning leave for 5 c. Sigiriya Rock Fortress. After lunch return to Colombo via Kurunegala.
