Instructions for obtaining visa on arrival at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok<\/strong><\/p>\n

An applicant from Pakistan, Myanmar and Nepal, who wishes to obtain a visa to arrive Sri Lanka should visit the Embassy in Bangkok. The Embassy will interview the applicant and decide if the applicant is suitable to be granted visa.<\/p>\n

The request will be forwarded to the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka and the Department will send details of the applicant to the relevant authorities for clearance.<\/p>\n

The decision of the Department of Immigration and Emigration will be communicated to the applicant via email. The applicant will be facilitated to obtain visa on arrival at the port of entry if the request for visa is accepted.<\/p>\n

It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrive Sri Lanka Immigration only after the receiving of confirmation e mail. The applicant can use hard copy or soft copy of this confirmation email to board flights and arrive Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Instructions of obtaining visa on arrival for the countries Sri Lankan overseas Missions are not available.<\/p>\n

The Applicant from the under mentioned countries with Sri Lankan overseas Missions are not available should follow the below methodology,<\/p>\n

  10. Madagascar<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A Sri Lankan representative with national Identity card or valid Sri Lanka passport should visit the Department of Immigration and Emigration, Battaramulla and submit following documents on behalf of the applicant.<\/p>\n

    1. Request letter from the representative<\/li>\n
    2. National Identity card or passport copy of the representative<\/li>\n
    3. An affidavit mentioning the undertaking of the responsibilities of the applicant\u2019s visit in Sri Lanka<\/li>\n
    4. Passport copy of the applicant<\/li>\n
    5. Police report of the applicant<\/li>\n
    6. Flight booking details of the applicant<\/li>\n
    7. Accommodation of the applicant<\/li>\n
    8. Valid email address of the applicant<\/li>\n
    9. Valid email address of the Sri Lankan representative<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Upon the submission of the request of visa with the above documents, the Department of Immigration and Emigration will send the information of the applicant for security clearance.<\/p>\n

      On reception of security clearance, the decision to accept or to reject the request for visa will be communicated to the applicant and to the Sri Lankan representative through the emails.<\/p>\n

      The applicant will be facilitated to obtain visa on arrival at the port of entry if the request for visa is accepted.<\/p>\n
