C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP together with staff of the Mission commenced work ceromonially, on 1st January 2024 at the Chancery. The event comprised hoisting of national flag, singing the national anthem, observing two-minuet silence for war heroes, reading oath of Public Servants in Sinhala, English and Thai languages and delivering remarks by the Ambassador and Permanent Representative.<\/p>\n

While highlighting the successful achievements of the Mission in the year 2023, the Ambassador thanked the Mission’s staff for their contribution. The Ambassador stated that the economy of the country is recovering and going forward after the economic hardship which faced during the last few years with the assistance of IMF and the international community.<\/span><\/p>\n
