“Discover the Magic Within”: Inspirational Session at Siam University Organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Thailand

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Thailand Highlights Women’s Role in Global Leadership at Stamford University Forum
The Stamford International University, Phetchaburi Campus, hosted a distinguished forum to mark International Women’s Day 2026, bringing together leading women diplomats, academics, and over 200 participants for an engaging exchange on the evolving role of women in global leadership and diplomacy.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Thailand organized an inspirational session at Siam University, Bangkok, with the aim of encouraging students to recognize their inner potential, cultivate self-belief, and discover their sense of purpose.
The session was conducted by Ms. Bernadine Jayasinghe, a globally acclaimed keynote speaker, award-winning trainer, and transformational leader who has empowered professionals across Sri Lanka and internationally. With nearly fifteen years of experience delivering keynote addresses, training programs, and lectures, Ms. Jayasinghe has worked extensively with children, youth, and corporate audiences, fostering confidence, clarity, and compassion.
Held under the theme “Discover the Magic Within,” the session explored the journey of self-discovery across generations, from the curiosity of childhood to Generation Z redefining leadership and purpose through experience. While acknowledging generational differences, the presentation highlighted a shared and universal pursuit, the continuous evolution of the self. The event was attended by students from multiple countries, as well as academia and the staff of Siam University.
In her brief address, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, thanked Ms. Jayasinghe for delivering an insightful and impactful presentation. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of empowering young minds, nurturing self-belief, and guiding students toward purposeful personal and professional growth, while fostering Sri Lankan values and norms.
Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President and Chancellor of Siam University, expressed his appreciation to the speaker and commended the relevance and inspirational value of the session. He noted its positive impact on students and its meaningful contribution to holistic education. In recognition of her contribution, Ms. Jayasinghe was presented with a Star Award by the President of Siam University.
Drawing from her experience across classrooms, boardrooms, and global platforms, Ms. Jayasinghe reiterated that transformation begins when individuals reconnect with the inner light that drives growth and leadership, a message that resonated strongly with the audience.
