Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand Visits Wat Phra Dhammakaya to Strengthen Religious Relations
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to UNESCAP, E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya on 21 July 2026 to further strengthen religious and cultural relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka & Permanent Representative to the Kingdom of Thailand E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the “CTBT@30: 30 Years of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in ASEAN” Youth Outreach Event, jointly organized by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Bangkok.
On 22nd July 2024, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP), C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne and Spouse Stephen Senanayake was granted an audience by His Majesty King Preah Bat Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia to bid farewell at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.
During the farewell audience, His Majesty King Preah Bat Norodom Sihamoni expressed Majesty’s highest gratitude to Ambassador Chaminda Colonne for her excellent work carried out in strengthening relations with Cambodia and its’ People, and conveyed heartiest wishes for her future endeavours.
Ambassador Chaminda Colonne and her spouse Stephen Senanayake conveyed sincere appreciation to His Majesty King Preah Bat Norodom Sihamoni for the warm hospitality and excellent cooperation they received, reflecting Cambodia’s long-standing excellent relations with Sri Lanka based on Theravada Buddhism, and extended warm best wishes for Majesty’s good health, happiness and longevity.
Ambassador Chaminda Colonne also paid farewell calls on Prime Minister Hun Manet, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea at the Peace Palace and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, respectively.
