Embassy of Sri Lanka Participates in โAmbassador for a Day 2026โ initiative, in connection with International Womenโs Day
The โAmbassador for a Day 2026โ initiative is organized by the Women Ambassadors Group in partnership with United Nations in Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, together with diplomatic missions and UN agencies based in Thailand. The 2026 edition was held under the theme โEnsuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls.โ
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Participates in the 59th Red Cross Charity Bazaar
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok proudly participated in the 59th Red Cross Charity Bazaar, one of Thailandโs most prominent annual fundraising events organized by the Thai Red Cross Society, held from 26 February to 01 March 2026 at Siam Paragon.
At present, Sri Lanka is praised for its successful handling of the pandemic which are attributed to its highly-skilled medical workers, excellent health care system and the prompt yet holistic approach of the Sri Lankan government.
To acknowledge the exemplary joint effort of Sri Lankan frontline health care workers and the Government against the COVID-19 pandemic, a musical programme titled โArise Sri Lankaโ will be presented on 29th August 2020 at 6:00pm (SL Time) at the Nelum Pokuna in Colombo.
