Sri Lanka is participating in the 82nd Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), being held in Bangkok, Thailand from 20 to 24 April 2026, under the theme “Advancing Societies for All Ages in Asia and the Pacific.”
was held from 23-26 March 2021 under the theme of “Sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in Asia and the Pacific”. Delivering the country statement online, Director General Chamindry Saparamadu of the Sustainable Development Council of Sri Lanka highlighted the progress of Sri Lanka towards sustainable resilient society and economy while achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. First Secretary / Deputy Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UNESCAP Saritha Ranatunga participated at the event from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok
