Embassy of Sri Lanka Participates in “Ambassador for a Day 2026” initiative, in connection with International Women’s Day

The “Ambassador for a Day 2026” initiative is organized by the Women Ambassadors Group in partnership with United Nations in Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, together with diplomatic missions and UN agencies based in Thailand. The 2026 edition was held under the theme “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls.”

Sri Lanka has been identified as one of 34 biodiversity hotspots in the world, with a variety of different ecosystems within its borders and providing a tropical home for a diverse range of wildlife species.

Out of the 22 national parks in the country, here are the most popular ones and what they’re famous for.
