Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand Visits Wat Phra Dhammakaya to Strengthen Religious Relations
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to UNESCAP, E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya on 21 July 2026 to further strengthen religious and cultural relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka & Permanent Representative to the Kingdom of Thailand E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the “CTBT@30: 30 Years of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in ASEAN” Youth Outreach Event, jointly organized by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Bangkok.
Recently, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, C. A. Chaminda I. Colonne paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour of Thailand, Pairoj Chotikasathien at the Ministry of Labour of Thailand on 15.02.2024.
This was a follow up meeting on the discussions with the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour of Thailand, Boonchob Suthamanuswong.
Both discussed on the early finalization of the bilateral ‘Agreement on the employment of Sri Lankan manpower in Thailand’, and securing more employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in the Kingdom of Thailand including public sector officials registered with the Bureau of Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka who are eager to explore overseas employment opportunities, subject to five years leave from their current positions.
