The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to UNESCAP in Bangkok, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, was invited to deliver a lecture on “Guardians of the Dhamma: The Role of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and Anagarika Dharmapala’s Pioneering Efforts to Preserve Buddhagaya” at the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, one of Thailand’s foremost centres of Buddhist higher education on 17 March 2026.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative to the UNESCAP C.A. Chaminda I Colonne, Board Member of the AIT attended the 138th AIT Graduation Ceremony of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) of Thailand on 16th December 2022. Ambassador also had a discussion with the Sri Lankan students study at the. First Secretary/Head of Chancery, A.W.S. Samanmali of the Mission accompanied with the Ambassador.
