The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) organized Sri Lanka's participation at the Thailand Smart City Expo 2024, held from 06-08 November 2024 in Bangkok. This event, hosted by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) in association with N.C.C. Management and Development Co. Ltd, serves as Southeast Asia’s largest exhibition dedicated to smart city innovations and emerging technologies.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe met with Group CEO of Minor International PCL and Group CEO of Minor Hotels, Dillip Rajakarier, a leading global hospitality group with over 550 hotels across 56 countries on 28.10.2024. The discussion focused on collaborative efforts to enhance Sri Lanka’s tourism promotion in Thailand and expand bilateral tourism ties.

Located at one of Sri Lanka’s renowned national parks, the centre houses documentation of leopard behaviour within Yala National Park and a library containing information on the world’s felines.
