Sri Lanka Showcases Its Creativity at the Amazing Thailand Global Thai Silk Exhibition 2026

Sri Lanka participated in the Amazing Thailand Global Thai Silk Exhibition 2026, an international initiative showcasing the cultural identities of more than 100 countries through contemporary fashion designs incorporating Thai silk. The initiative was organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of Thai Silk and Culture.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Thailand and Permanent Representative to the UNESCAP, C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne today (14th Sept) had her first virtual courtesy meeting with Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand Thani Thongphakdi. While recalling long-standing excellent bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, both assured furthering relations in the fields of economic, trade, investment, cultural and Buddhist affairs etc. and cooperation in multilateral fora for mutual benefit.


