Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand Visits Wat Phra Dhammakaya to Strengthen Religious Relations

Ambassador of Sri Lanka & Permanent Representative to the Kingdom of Thailand E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the “CTBT@30: 30 Years of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in ASEAN” Youth Outreach Event, jointly organized by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Bangkok.
Ambassador & Permanent Representative, C. A. Chaminda I. Colonne attended the 67 th Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair which is being held from 07-11 September 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
23 companies representing the Gem and Jewellery sector from Sri Lanka participate at the 67 th Bangkok Gems and Jewellery Fair.
The fair was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand, Jurin Laksanawisit on 9 th September 2022.
The Fair is jointly organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand.
Through the cooperation of both the public and private sectors, the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair has become the most important gems and jewelry fair in Asia and an ideal opportunity to showcase Sri Lanka’s key mineral resource Blue Sapphire.
1,020 gem and Jewelry entrepreneurs are exhibiting their products in 2,004 booths, and the event is expected to attract 15,000 visitors during the 5 day period.
