Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Organizes Promotional and Networking Session for Sri Lanka EXPO 2027
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok organized a “Sri Lanka EXPO 2027 – Promotion and Networking Session” on 07 October 2026 in Bangkok, with the participation of prospective Thai business representatives, investors, buyers, industry stakeholders and journalists.
Sri Lankan Ambassador Meets Thai Minister of Public Health
H.E. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to Thailand, held discussions with the H E Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health of Thailand on 30 September 2026. The meeting highlighted the longstanding and close relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand, underpinned by strong bonds of friendship, cultural and religious affinity, and longstanding cooperation in a range of areas. The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
ශ්රී ලාංකේය කිතුනු ජනතාව ලෝකවාසී ක්රිස්තු භක්තිකයන් සමග එක්ව, මානව වර්ගයා පාපයෙන් මුදා ගැනීමට කුරුසිය මත ජීවිතය පූජා කළ ජේසුස් ක්රිස්තූන් වහන්සේගේ උත්ථානය, පාස්කු මංගල්යය දින බැතියෙන් සිහිපත් කරති.
සිය ආත්මය සහ මනස පිරිසිදු කර ගැනීම එහි ප්රමුඛ අර්ථයයි. කිතුනු භක්තිකයන් ජේසුස් වහන්සේගේ දුක් ප්රාප්තිය, මරණය, උත්ථානය සිහි කරමින් චතාරික සමය ගත කරන්නේ ආධ්යාත්මික වතාවත්හි නිරත වෙමිනි. එමගින් වර්ධනය කර ගන්නා ශාන්තදායී හැඟීම් සහෝදර ජනතාව අතර ප්රේමය, සාමය සහ සහජීවනය, උදා කිරීමට ඉවහල් වනු ඇතැයි මම විශ්වාස කරමි.
වර්තමානයේ කොරෝනා වෛරසය ව්යාප්තිය සමග ලෝක ප්රජාව මුහුණ දී ඇති බරපතල ව්යසනය සියලු බැතිමතුන් කම්පාවට පත් කර ඇත. ජීවමාන දේව පුත්රයාගේ සහ පියාණන්ගේ දිව්ය මහිමයෙන් දුකට පත් සියලු ජනතාවට අස්වැසිල්ලක් අත්කර දීම ඔවුන්ගෙ අපේක්ෂාවය.
පාස්කු දින මංගල්යය මේ රටේ කිතුනු බැතිමතුන්ගේ සොඳුරු ආගමික මතකයකි. එහෙත් පසුගිය වසර ඉතා වේදනාත්මක එකක් බවට පත්විය. අදටත් එහි කම්පනය මැකී ගොස් නැත. රජයේ කැපවීම වේදනාවට පත් ජනතාවට සාධාරණය ඉටු කිරීමයි. එසේම එවන් වූ සිදුවීම් මාතෘ භූමියෙන් තුරන් කිරීමට ද රජය දැඩිව වග වී සිටී.
රටත්, ජනතාවත් අතිශය අභියෝගාත්මක සෞඛ්ය තර්ජනයකට මුහුණ පා සිටින මේ මොහොතේ රජයේ සහ සෞඛ්ය නිලධාරීන්ගේ උපදෙස්වලට අවනතව නිවෙස්වල සිට ජේසු සමිඳාණන් වෙනුවෙන් කැප වෙනු ඇතැයි රජය බලාපොරොත්තු වෙයි.
ජේසුස් වහන්සේගේ දේශනා සිහි කරමින් මනුෂ්යයා පාපයෙන් මුදා ගැනීමට ඔබටත්. පවුලේ සැමටත් හැකි වේවා යි මම ප්රාර්ථනා කරමි.
இலங்கை வாழ் கிறிஸ்தவ மக்கள் உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவர்களுடன் இணைந்து, மனித இனத்தை பாவங்களில் இருந்து விடுவிப்பதற்காக இயேசு நாதர் சிலுவையில் தனது வாழ்வை அர்ப்பணித்து உயிர்த்தெழுந்த உயிர்ப்புப் பெருவிழாவை இன்று பக்தியுடன் நினைவுகூர்கின்றனர்.
தனது ஆன்மாவையும் உள்ளத்தையும் தூய்மைப்படுத்திக்கொள்வது இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும். கிறிஸ்தவ பக்தர்கள் இயேசுவின் துன்பம், மரணம் மற்றும் உயிர்ப்பை நினைவுகூர்ந்து ஆன்மீக கிரியைகளில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர். அதன் மூலம் வளர்த்துக்கொள்ளும் அமைதியும் சாந்தமும், நாட்டில் உள்ள ஏனைய சகோதர இனங்களுக்கிடையிலான அன்பு, சமாதானம் மற்றும் சகவாழ்வை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொள்ள அவர்களுக்கு உதவும் என நான் நம்புகின்றேன்.
தற்போது கொரோனா வைரஸ் பரவுவதுடன் உலக மக்கள் முகம்கொடுத்துள்ள பாரிய அனர்த்தம் அனைத்து பக்தர்களையும் கவலைக்குள்ளாக்கியுள்ளது. இயேசு பிரானின் தெய்வீக மகிமையினால், துன்பத்திற்குள்ளாகியுள்ள அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் ஆறுதலை பெற்றுக்கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே அவர்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்பாகும்.
உயிர்ப்புப் பெருவிழா இந்நாட்டில் உள்ள கிறிஸ்தவ பக்தர்களுக்கு கடந்த காலங்களில் மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சிக்குரிய ஒன்றாகவே இருந்து வந்துள்ளது. எனினும் கடந்த வருடம் அது மிகவும் துன்பகரமான ஒன்றாக மாறியது. இன்றும் அந்த கவலை நீங்கவில்லை. பாதிப்புக்குள்ளான மக்களுக்கு நியாயத்தை பெற்றுக்கொடுப்பதற்கு அரசாங்கம் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் உள்ளது.
அதேபோல் அத்தகைய சம்பவங்களை தாய்நாட்டிலிருந்து ஒழித்துக்கட்டுவதற்கும் அரசாங்கம் மிகுந்த பொறுப்புடன் உள்ளது.
நாடும் மக்களும் சவால் மிகுந்த சுகாதார அச்சுறுத்தலுக்கு முகம்கொடுத்துள்ள இச்சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் அரசாங்கத்தினதும் சுகாதார அதிகாரிகளினதும் அறிவுறுத்தல்களுக்கு ஏற்ப வீடுகளில் இருந்து இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயற்படுவீர்கள் என அரசாங்கம் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றது.
இயேசுவின் போதனைகளை நினைவுகூர்ந்து ஆன்மாவை பாவத்திலிருந்து விடுவிப்பதற்கு உங்களுக்கும், குடும்பத்தில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் இயலுமாவதாக என பிரார்த்திக்கின்றேன்.
The Christian community of Sri Lanka, together with their brethren all over the world celebrates Easter, the commemoration day of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with utmost devotion.
The intend of the devoted commemoration is to purify the mind and soul. The Christian devotees spend the lent period indulging in religious activities recalling the crucifixion, suffering, sacrifice, the death and resurrection of Jesus. I believe that peace and harmony attained in the mind due to these pious activities help the Christian community to spread the message of love, peace and harmony among the brethren in the country.
The devotees are shocked and saddened by the corona pandemic faced by the world community today. Their desire is to provide relief to the suffering people with the blessings of the divine Father and Son.
The Easter festivities in the past were full of joy and delight. However, last year it left a sorrowful memory of pain and loss. Even today the shock has not been fully erased. The commitment of the government is to ensure justice for the people who suffered. Furthermore, the government is determined to ensure complete eradication of such tragedies from the Motherland.
At this moment when the country is faced with a grave challenge to the health of the people, the government expects the Christian community to stay at homes in accordance with the advice of the Government and health officials and pay obeisance to Jesus Christ.
I wish you, your family and the entire society would be able to absolve yourselves from sins by faithfully recalling the message of Jesus.
