Colonne and Spouse Mr. Stephen Senanayake was granted an audience by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana of the Kingdom of Thailand to bid farewell at the Amphorn Royal Palace.

At the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC),Bangkok, on the Visakha Pooja Day, 22nd May 2022 (22May Vesak 2567 BE), commemorating the 25th Anniversary of United Nations Proclamation of the International Day of Vesak, Ambassador of Sri Lanka and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, C. A. Chaminda I. Colonne, handed over a magnificent traditional Art work of ‘Sri Dalada Perahera’ to the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations & Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana to display at the UNCC in Bangkok.
