The 13th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) was successfully convened in Bangkok under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). The Forum was held under the theme “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030Agenda and its SDGs for a sustainable future for all.”

The Royal Thai Government, organizations, and people of Thailand have demonstrated heartfelt solidarity with Sri Lanka in the wake of the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, reflecting the longstanding friendship and close ties between the two nations.
“Sri Lanka will remain neutral in the Indian Ocean and will not be a threat to any country” – Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage reiterates in his Special Address at the ‘Ocean Nations: An Indo-Pacific Islands Dialogue’, jointly organized by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation on 20th September at the Japan Society, New York.
