Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Meets with UNODC Regional Representative to Address Transboundary Human Trafficking Issues

The Ambassador and Permanent Representative E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe met with the UNODC Regional Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Masood Karimipour on 09 th January 2025, to discuss the pressing issue of emerging transboundary human trafficking challenges in the region. Regional Representative was accompanied by Rebecca Miller, Regional Programme Coordinator for Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling. The First Secretary and the Head of Chancery A.W. S Samanmali also joined the discussion.

at the prestigious 27th World Travel Awards. SriLankan won the category of “World’s Leading Airline to the Indian Ocean 2020” for the 05th consecutive year from over a dozen of the world’s finest airlines from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, which were nominated for the award.
