Ambassador of Sri Lanka Engages with Chairman of Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand to Strengthen Bilateral Trade Ties

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe held a productive discussion with the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, Sanan Angubolkul on 01 October 2024. The discussion focused on enhancing the long-standing relationship between Sri Lanka and Thailand, particularly in the areas of trade, investment and tourism.

Vice Chairman, Thai Chamber of Commerce & Board of Trade of Thailand, Songsong Patavanich, Chairwoman, Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand, Vibeke Lyssand Leirvarg, Vice Chairman, Federation of Thai Industries, Chartchai Panichewa joined the discussion from Thailand side.

Chairman of the National Crafts Council, Sampath Erahapola, Chairperson of the Spices and Allied Products Marketing Board, Kumudini Gunasekara, Chairman of the Coconut Development Authority, Keerti Sri Weerasinghe, Director General of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Renuka M. Weerakone, Director General of the Industrial Development Board, P. L. U. Rathnamalala, Officials of the Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Tea Board, Sri Lanka Handicrafts Board and National Gem and Jewellery Authority represented the Government institutions.

Perera, CEO/Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Manjula de Silva, Secretary General/CEO of the National Chamber of Exporters, Shiham Marikar, Secretary General/CEO of the National Chamber of Commerce, Bandula Dissanayake, President of the Sri Lanka Thailand Business Council, Lalith Kumarage represented the Business Chambers in Sri Lanka.

First Secretary/Head of Chancery, A. W. S. Samanmali and First Secretary (Commercial), Vireshika Bandara of the Mission were associated with the Ambassador & Permanent Representative.
