On 22nd July 2024, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP), C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne and Spouse Stephen Senanayake was granted an audience by His Majesty King Preah Bat Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia to bid farewell at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

The Embassy, together with the Ministry of Agriculture in Sri Lanka and Technical Assistance to the Modernisation of Agriculture Programme (TAMAP) successfully co-hosted a Webinar on the theme ‘Can a revolutionary change be made in agricultural marketing?- sharing experience in Thai Market’.

The discussion focused on supply and demand management in economic centres, e- connectivity with suppliers and buyers, feasible transportation modes, use of statistics for agriculture modernization and value addition. Over 120 participants from the government and private sector, including higher managerial level participated in the Webinar. This was the first in a series of knowledge sharing meetings that the Embassy agreed to join with MOA and Technical Assistance to the Modernisation of Agriculture Programme -TAMAP Sri Lanka to help those involved in Agribusiness.
