On 22nd July 2024, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Bangkok and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP), C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne and Spouse Stephen Senanayake was granted an audience by His Majesty King Preah Bat Norodom Sihamoni of the Kingdom of Cambodia to bid farewell at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

Expanding Sri Lanka’s export basket to Thailand, the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok, introduced the National Crafts Council of Sri Lanka and prominent Sri Lankan businessmen to CP Group which owns renowned retail chains, Lotus’s, Macro and Seven Eleven in Thailand.
නව වසරේ උදාව, ගතවන සෑම මොහොතකම එළැඹෙන අභියෝග නිවැරදිව අවබෝධ කරගනිමින් ජීවිත සකසා ගැනීමටත්, අදිටනින් පෙරට යාමටත් අප දිරි ගන්වයි. එබැවින්, අප 2021 පිළිගන්නේ සුබවාදී ආකල්පයෙන්, අධිෂ්ඨානයෙන් හා කැපවීමෙන් ද පරිපූර්ණවය.
සෞභාග්යය කරා යන ගමන සාර්ථකව ආරම්භ කර තිබියදී අනපේක්ෂිත ලෙස රට වෙලා ගත් කොවිඩ් වසංගතය ජය ගැනීමට සමස්ත ලෝකයා සමග අපි ද පෙරමුණ ගත්තෙමු. බරපතල අභියෝග හා බාධක හමුවේ වුවද ජාතික අභිලාෂයන් මත පදනම්ව තිරසාර සංවර්ධනයක අත්තිවාරම සැකසීමට අපට හැකි විය.
ජනතා අපේක්ෂා සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීමට තැබූ පියවර නව වසරේ දී තව තවත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමට රජය සූදානම්ය. නව රජය ගොඩනගනු ලැබූයේ ජනතා කේන්ද්රීය සංවර්ධනය සහ ජාතික අනන්යතාව සුරක්ෂිත කිරීමේ අභිලාෂය ඇතිවය. රටටත් ජනමතයටත් පිටු නොපානු ඇතැයි ජනතාව රජය කෙරෙහි තැබූ විශ්වාසය කිසිදු අයුරකින් පළුදු නොකරන්නෙමු.
“සෞභාග්යයේ දැක්මේ” ඇතුළත් ඉලක්කගත සංවර්ධන සැලසුම් යථාර්ථයක් බවට පත් කිරීම රජයේ ප්රමුඛතම කාර්යයයි. මේ සඳහා මුළුමහත් රාජ්ය සේවයත්, පෞද්ගලික ආයතනත් එක්ව කටයුතු කිරීම ඉතා වැදගත් වේ. සෑම රාජ්ය සේවකයකුම තමාට පැවරෙන රාජකාරී කොටස මැනවින් ඉටු කරන්නේ නම් ඕනෑම බාධකයක් ජය ගැනීම රජයට අපහසු කාර්යයක් නොවේ. එම කැපවීම සෑම රජයේ සේවකයෙකුගෙන්ම මම බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමි. එසේම සෑම පුරවැසියෙකුම තම මව්බිම ගැන කැපවෙමින් කටයුතු කිරීමද අපේක්ෂා කරමි.
එළැඹෙන වසරේදී කුමන බාධකයකට මුහුණ දීමට සිදුවුවත් ඒ සඳහා ආත්මශක්තිය හා ධෛර්යය අප සතුව ඇති බැව් අපි දැඩිව විශ්වාස කරමු. ඒ සඳහා අවශ්ය සැලසුම් සකස් කොට ඒවා ක්රියාත්මක වන නිසා රට තුල එම විශ්වාසය අප තහවුරු කර ඇත. විනයගරුක රටක ආර්ථික සහ සාමාජයීය සශ්රීකත්වය ගැන අමුතුවෙන් කිව යුතු නැත. එබැවින්, අපි සියලුදෙනාම විනය ගරුකව, අපගේ කාර්යභාරයන් මැනවින් ඉටු කිරීමට මේ වසර තුලදී අදිටන් කර ගනිමු.
මෙරට මෙන්ම එතෙර වෙසෙන සියලු ශ්රී ලාංකිකයන්ටත්, ඔවුන්ගේ දූ දරුවන්ටත් එළැඹෙන වසර රෝග පීඩාවලින් තොර, ඉසුරුබර අනාගතයක් උරුම කෙරෙන වසරක් වේවා!යි ඉත සිතින් ප්රාර්ථනා කරමි.
புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துச் செய்தி
புத்தாண்டின் விடியல், கடந்து செல்லும் ஒவ்வொரு தருணத்திலும் நாம் எதிர்நோக்கும் சவால்களை சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டு வாழ்க்கையைத் திட்டமிடுவதற்கும், உறுதியுடன் முன்னேறுவதற்கும் எம்மை ஊக்குவிக்கின்றது. எனவே, 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டை ஒரு நேர்மறையான மனப்பாங்குடனும், திடவுறுதி மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்புடனும் நாம் வரவேற்கிறோம்.
சுபீட்சத்தை நோக்கிய பயணம் வெற்றிகரமாக ஆரம்பித்துள்ள நிலையில், எதிர்பாராத விதமாக நாட்டில் ஏற்பட்டுள்ள கோவிட் நோய்த்தொற்றினை வெற்றிகொள்ள முழு உலகுடனும் இணைந்து நாமும் முன்னிலை வகித்துள்ளோம். கடுமையான சவால்கள் மற்றும் தடைகளுக்கு மத்தியிலும், தேசிய அபிலாஷைகளின் அடிப்படையில் நிலையான அபிவிருத்திக்கு அடித்தளம் அமைக்க எமக்கு முடிந்தது.
மக்களின் எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை அடைந்துகொள்வதற்கு எடுக்கப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளை புதிய ஆண்டில் மேலும் வலுப்படுத்த அரசாங்கம் தயாராக உள்ளது. மக்களை மையமாகக் கொண்ட அபிவிருத்தி மற்றும் தேசிய தனித்துவத்தைப் பாதுகாக்கும் எதிர்பார்ப்புடனேயே புதிய அரசாங்கம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. நாட்டுக்கும் மக்கள் ஆணைக்கும் எதிராக அரசாங்கம் செயற்படாது என்ற அரசாங்கத்தின் மீதான மக்கள் நம்பிக்கை வீண்போக நாம் இடமளிக்கமாட்டோம்.
‘சுபீட்சத்தின் நோக்கு’ கொள்கைத் திட்டத்தில் உள்ளடக்கப்பட்டுள்ள இலக்கு மைய அபிவிருத்தி திட்டங்களை சாத்தியப்படுத்துவது அரசாங்கத்தின் முதன்மையான பணியாகும். இதற்காக அரச சேவையும் தனியார் துறை நிறுவனங்களும் இணைந்து செயற்படுவது மிகவும் முக்கியமானதாகும். அனைத்து அரச ஊழியர்களும் தமக்கு வழங்கப்படும் பணிகளை மிகச் சரியாக நிறைவேற்றுவார்களேயானால் எந்தவொரு தடையையும் வெற்றிகொள்வது அரசாங்கத்திற்கு கடினமானதல்ல. அந்த அர்ப்பணிப்பை அனைத்து அரச ஊழியர்களிடமும் நான் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றேன். அதேபோன்று அனைத்து பிரஜைகளும் தமது தாய்நாடு குறித்து அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயற்படுவார்கள் என்றும் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றேன்.
பிறக்கும் புத்தாண்டில் எத்தகைய தடைகளுக்கு முகம்கொடுக்க நேர்ந்தாலும் அவற்றை வெற்றிகொள்வதற்கான ஆத்ம பலமும் தைரியமும் எம்மிடம் உள்ளது என்று நாங்கள் உறுதியாக நம்புகிறோம். அதற்கு தேவையான திட்டங்கள் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படுவதன் ஊடாக நாட்டில் அந்த நம்பிக்கையை நாம் உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளோம். ஒழுக்கப்பண்பாடான நாட்டில் பொருளாதார மற்றும் சமூக செழிப்பு பற்றி புதிதாக குறிப்பிட வேண்டியதில்லை. எனவே, நாம் அனைவரும் ஒழுக்கப் பண்பாட்டுடன் எமது கடமைகளை சரியாக நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கு இந்த ஆண்டிலும் உறுதிகொள்வோம்.
மலரும் புத்தாண்டு எமது நாட்டிலும் வெளிநாடுகளிலும் உள்ள அனைத்து இலங்கையர்களுக்கும் அவர்களது பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் நோய்நொடிகள் இல்லாத வளமானதொரு எதிர்காலத்தை கொண்டு வர எனது மனமார்ந்த பிரார்த்தனைகள்.
The dawn of the New Year motivates us to move towards a new meaningful height in life while providing opportunity to clearly understand the challenges we face at each passing moment. We welcome the year 2021 with positive attitudes, determination and absolute commitment.
No sooner than we commenced the journey towards prosperity that we had successfully initiated, we were compelled, together with the rest of the world, to fight COVID-19 pandemic which had engulfed the country. Amidst formidable challenges and obstacles we were able to lay the foundation for sustainable development while prioritizing national aspirations.
The Government is determined to further strengthen the steps that it had already taken in order to meet the expectations of the people in the New Year. The new government was formed with the objective of securing a people-centric development and to protect and preserve national identity. No room should be left for the erosion of confidence people placed in the Government that it would not go against the country and the people’s will.
The prime responsibility of the government is to make development targets enshrined in “Saubhagyaye Dekma” policy framework, a reality. To achieve this objective, it is essential that the public and private sectors, work together as partners. If each and every public servant properly performs the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them, it is not a difficult task for the government to conquest any challenge faced by it. I expect that commitment from all public servants. Furthermore, I hope that all the citizens will continue to faithfully serve the Motherland.
We strongly believe that we have self-determination and courage to overcome challenges that we have to face in the New Year. That is because we have already built that confidence in the country by formulating and implementing necessary plans with a clear perception. There is no need to separately mention the economic and social prosperity that a disciplined country could achieve.
Therefore, let us determine that in this New Year we will fulfil our respective duties in a proper and disciplined manner.
