Sri Lankan Ambassador to Thailand Visits Wat Phra Dhammakaya to Strengthen Religious Relations
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to UNESCAP, E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, visited Wat Phra Dhammakaya on 21 July 2026 to further strengthen religious and cultural relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka & Permanent Representative to the Kingdom of Thailand E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the “CTBT@30: 30 Years of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in ASEAN” Youth Outreach Event, jointly organized by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Bangkok.
The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka participated at the 69th YWCA (Young Women’s Christian Association) Diplomatic Charity Bazaar, held from 7-10 November 2024 at Central World, Bangkok. Showcasing authentic Sri Lankan craftsmanship and premium products, the Embassy highlighted handicrafts from the National Crafts Council, Ceylon cinnamon from Excellensa Impex Pvt Ltd, and Ceylon tea from K Square Lanka Pvt. Ltd.
The exhibition attracted significant interest, with Sri Lanka’s unique products promoted on local TV channels. YWCA Bangkok and a well-known Thai lifestyle YouTuber also conducted a special interview with Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, further enhancing awareness of Sri Lankan culture and exports.
The Embassy’s participation underscored Sri Lanka’s commitment to fostering cultural and trade ties with Thailand while supporting the charitable initiatives of the YWCA.
