Sri Lanka showcased strong commitment to sustainable financing at the Fifth Session of the Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction and Financing for Development held in Bangkok.
The Fifth Session of the Committee on Macroeconomic Policy, Poverty Reduction and Financing for Development was held from 19-21 November 2025 at the Unite Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. The Session was opened by Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). During the opening session, special remarks were made by H.E. Ahmed Mazin, Minister of State for
Finance and Planning of Maldives, Mr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Vice-Minister of Finance of Thailand and the Secretary-General of UNCTAD. The meeting brought together key member States,
including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Türkiye, the United States of America, and Viet Nam, reflecting strong regional engagement in advancing inclusive and sustainable development financing.
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Hosts “Sri Lanka: Your Next Best Destination”, Tourism Promotional Evening, to Mark the 70th Anniversary of Sri Lanka–Thailand Diplomatic Relations
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Sri Lankan Airlines, organized “Sri Lanka: Your Next Best Destination”, Tourism Promotional Evening, on 24 November 2025 at the Avani Riverside Hotel, Bangkok, to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
สำหรับการขยายตลาดสินค้าส่งออกของศรีลังกาไปยังประเทศไทย สถานเอกอัครราชทูตและผู้แทนถาวรศรีลังกาประจำกรุงเทพฯ ได้แนะนำสภาหัตถกรรมแห่งชาติของศรีลังกาและนักธุรกิจชั้นนำของศรีลังกาให้กับกลุ่มซีพี ซึ่งเป็นเจ้าของเครือข่ายค้าปลีกที่มีชื่อเสียงในประเทศไทย เช่น โลตัส แม็คโคร และเซเว่นอีเลฟเว่น
งาน CP Group Global Sourcing Expo จัดขึ้น ณโรงแรมเรเนซองส์ กรุงเทพฯ ราชประสงค์ โดยเป็นเวทีเพื่อแสวงหาสำหรับนักธุรกิจและผู้ผลิตอาหารจากนานาชาติในการสร้างเครือข่าย การแสดงสินค้า และเจรจาธุรกิจกับซีพีฟู้ด (CP Foods) และพันธมิตรของกลุ่มซีพี ซึ่งรวมถึงผู้ดำเนินการร้านอาหารชั้นนำ โรงแรม และธุรกิจบริการอาหาร ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เป้าหมายคือเพื่อให้คนไทยได้เข้าถึงอาหารคุณภาพสูงจาก ทั่วโลกและส่งเสริมประเทศไทยให้เป็นศูนย์กลางอาหารของโลก
สภาหัตถกรรมแห่งชาติศรีลังกา, บริษัทเอสวารัน บร๊ะเด่อ เอ็กพอร์ต (พีวีที) จำกัด (Eswaran Brothers Export (Pvt) Ltd) , บริษัทเอ็กเซลเลนซา อิมแพ็ค (พีวีที) จำกัด (Excellensa Impex (Pvt) Ltd), บริษัทวอรกา เนทูโร่ล จำกัด (Worga Naturals (Pvt) Ltd) และผู้ค้าเทวมิกา (Thevmika Traders) ได้นำเสนอชาซีลอน, หัตถกรรม, อบเชยซีลอน, น้ำมะพร้าวไฟ, เครื่องเทศ, อาหาร เช่น ซอส แยมลูกหว้า มะม่วงดอง ครีมมัสตาร์ด เม็ดมะม่วง หิมพานต์ ผักดอง ฯลฯ ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจจากผู้เข้าร่วมงานในครั้งนี้
นอกจากนี้ บริษัทเอสวารัน บร๊ะเด่อ เอ็กพอร์ต (พีวีที) จำกัด (Eswaran Brothers Export (Pvt) Ltd) ยังได้จัดกิจกรรมชิมชาในงาน ซึ่งมอบประสบการณ์ที่น่าสนใจและสัมผัสได้สำหรับผู้เข้าชมงาน ช่วยเสริมความน่าดึงดูดใจของชาซีลอนอีกด้วย
โดยมี นางจมินทะ ไอ โกโลนเน เอกอัครราชทูตศรีลังกาและผู้แทนถาวรประจำ UNESCAP, นายอดิเรก ศรีประทักษ์ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่และประธานคณะผู้บริหารของเจริญโภคภัณฑ์อาหาร, นายประสิทธิ์ บุญดวงประเสริฐ ประธานกรรมการบริหารของเจริญโภคภัณฑ์อาหาร, นายปิแอร์ นิเกา ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายจัดซื้อระหว่างประเทศ CPF Global Food Solution PCL และผู้แทนอาวุโสหลายท่านจากซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตของเครือซีพี บริการอาหารเครือซีพี โรงงานเครือซีพี ร้านสะดวกซื้อเครือซีพี ร้านอาหารบริการด่วนเครือซีพี อาหารสัตว์เลี้ยงเครือ ซีพี กลุ่มโรงแรมระดับโลก สายการบิน และโรงงานผลิตอาหารเข้าร่วมงานครั้งนี้
รวมทั้งรับเกียรติจากคณะทูตทูต อาร์เจนตินา ออสเตรเลีย ไอร์แลนด์ ญี่ปุ่น โปแลนด์ นิวซีแลนด์ สเปน และนาย เชษฐพันธ์ มากสัมพันธ์ อธิบดีกรมอเมริกาและแปซิฟิกใต้ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศของไทย เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงาน CP Group Global Sourcing Expo ในครั้งนี้
ซึ่งในระหว่างพิธีเปิดงาน นายประสิทธิ์ บุญดวงประเสริฐ ประธานกรรมการบริหารของเจริญโภคภัณฑ์อาหารได้กล่าวว่า พวกเขาริเริ่มงานจับคู่ธุรกิจนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมการเติบโตของธุรกิจ SMEs ในประเทศที่กลุ่ม CP ดำเนินงาน รวมถึงให้โอกาสผู้ประกอบการชาวไทย เช่น ร้านอาหาร เข้าถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ที่หลากหลายมากขึ้น เสนอทางเลือกใหม่ๆ ให้กับอุตสาหกรรมอาหารไทย
