Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Participates in the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams in Bangkok
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), successfully co-hosted the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams in Bangkok, Thailand. The Conference aimed to strengthen and complement ongoing regional and international efforts to combat online scams and to enhance global cooperation to address existing operational gaps in tackling this complex form of transnational crime. The event brought together over 300 participants from 60 countries, including ministerial-level representatives, senior officials, international organizations, the private sector, and civil society.
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP Chairs 421st Session of the ACPR in Bangkok
The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to Thailand, E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the 421st Session of the Advisory Committee of Permanent Representatives (ACPR) held at the United Nations premises in Bangkok. The Ambassador was invited to chair the final ACPR session of the year, reflecting Sri Lanka’s active and constructive engagement with the UN system in the region.
สถานเอกอัครราชทูตศรีลังกาประจำประเทศไทย ได้เข้าร่วมงานแสดงสินค้าออกร้านคณะภริยาทูตเพื่อ การกุศลนานาชาติ ประจำปีครั้งที่ 57 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 17-19 พฤษภาคม 2567 ณ ศูนย์การค้าสยามพารากอน ภายใต้แนวคิด “ชอปสนุก สุขใจ ได้กุศล” (Shop for a Cause) โดยความร่วมมือระหว่างสภากาชาดไทยและ คณะภริยาทูตประจำประเทศไทย The spouse of the Ambassador of Sri Lanka Stephen Senanayake was a member of the organizing committee and Co-Director of the raffle draw. ทั้งนี้ การจัดงานในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นครั้งแรกที่มีการซื้อของที่ระลึกและการจำหน่ายสลากคณะภริยาทูตไปทั่วโลกผ่าน ทางแพลตฟอร์มออนไลน์ (www.iredcross.org)
ในการนี้ สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ในฐานะ อุปนายิกาผู้อำนวยการสภากาชาดไทย เสด็จเป็นองค์ประธานเปิดงานออกร้านคณะภริยาทูต ครั้งที่ 57 เมื่อวันที่ 17 พฤษภาคม 2567
สินค้าที่จัดแสดงของประเทศศรีลังกาได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสภาช่างฝีมือแห่งชาติ (National Crafts Council) และชาซีลอนได้รับการสนับสนุนจากบริษัท เอสวาราน บราเดอร์ เอ็กซ์ปอร์ต จำกัด บริษัท รันเฟอร์ ที จำกัด และบริษัท บราซิเลอร์ ที จำกัด ซึ่งสินค้าดังกล่าวได้รับความนิยมและเป็นที่ต้องการอย่างมากของนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ
ในงานแถลงข่าวที่จัดขึ้นก่อนหน้าการจัดงานครั้งนี้ มีการแนะนำและประชาสัมพันธ์สินค้าของประเทศ ศรีลังกาผ่านทางสถานีโทรทัศน์ช่องต่างๆ ของไทย ซึ่งการเข้าร่วมงานของสถานทูตต่างๆ ได้มีส่วนช่วยสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานโครงการเพื่อการกุศลของประเทศไทยภายใต้พระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
