Ambassador of Sri Lanka & Permanent Representative to the Kingdom of Thailand E.A.S Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, participated in the “CTBT@30: 30 Years of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) in ASEAN” Youth Outreach Event, jointly organized by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) in Bangkok.

Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Facilitates High-Level Economic Engagements during the Official Visit of Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development to Thailand

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of Sri Lanka, Chathuranga Abeysinghe, undertook an official visit to Thailand to participate in the UNDP Youth Co Lab Summit, held in Bangkok, where policymakers, development partners, entrepreneurs, and youth leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region gathered to discuss innovative solutions for sustainable and inclusive economic development.

ขณะกล่าวคำปราศรัย ท่านได้กล่าวไว้ว่า “ในยุคที่เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลมีผลต่อชีวิตประจำวัน สำคัญมากที่จะทำให้มั่นใจว่าความพยายามของเรา ใช้ประโยชน์จากเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ครอบคลุมและยั่งยืนทั่วโลก และยิ่งในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกที่มีประชากรกว่า 60 เปอร์เซ็นของโลกอาศัยอยู่ โดดเด่นด้วยวัฒนธรรม เศรษฐกิจ และภูมิทัศน์ที่หลากหลาย เป็นภูมิภาคที่ได้เห็นถึงความก้าวหน้าทางดิจิทัล จากอีคอมเมิร์ซไปจนถึงบริการทางอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ สู่การเงินดิจิทัล เราต้องรับรู้ถึงความจริงที่ว่า 7 ใน 10 ประเทศเศรษฐกิจชั้นนําของโลกที่มีอัตราส่วน ICT ต่อผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศ (GDP) มากที่สุด ซึ่งเราได้เห็นถึงผลกระทบทางดิจิทัล ในแง่อุตสาหกรรม ปรับปรุงโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน และการเติบโตของการจ้างงาน”
ท่านได้เสริมว่า “ความร่วมมือ South-South กลายเป็นกลยุทธ์ที่สำคัญ โดยการบ่งปันทรัพยากร ความรู้ เทคโนโลยี และ ความชำนาญท่ามกลางประเทศภาคใต้ทั่วโลก เราสามารถเอาชนะอุปสรรคและการพัฒนาแบบเร่งด่วนร่วมกันได้ เอกลักษณ์ความร่วมมือของ South-South อยู่ในหลักการของผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน เป็นความร่วมมือที่เท่าเทียมกัน ขับเคลื่อนโดยการแบ่งปันเป้าหมายและเคารพซึ่งกันและกัน ในยุคของการปฏิวัติอุตสาหกรรมครั้งที่สี่ ซึ่งจะมีผลกระทบอย่างลึกซึ้งต่อชีวิตของ เราไม่เพียง แต่ต้องมุ่งเน้นที่การยอมรับเทคโนโลยีใหม่ ๆ แต่ยังต้องส่งเสริมสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อความก้าวหน้าของนวัตกรรม นำมาซึ่งการลงทุนในด้านการศึกษาและการพัฒนาทักษะ สนับสนุน สตาร์ทอัพและผู้ประกอบการ และการสร้างนโยบายกระตุ้นการทดลองและนวัตกรรมดิจิทัล”
ท่านได้เน้นย้ำว่า “ในการแสวงหาการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนของเรา ความร่วมมือ South-South and triangular เป็นกุญแจสำคัญ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง นวัตกรรมดิจิทัล และการเปลี่ยนแปลง สามารถแบ่งปันความชำนาญด้านดิจิทัลและเทคโนโลยี และการโปรโมทการเข้าร่วมการวิจัยและการพัฒนา และการสนับสนุนจากพาร์ทเนอร์หลากหลายฝ่ายนำไปสู่การนวัตกรรมการแก้ปัญหาดิจิทัลเฉพาะภูมิภาค
