Sri Lanka–Thailand Medical Partnership to Deliver 71 Free Knee Surgeries
A special Buddhist fundraising event was held in support of a landmark humanitarian medical initiative aimed at enhancing access to orthopedic care in Sri Lanka.

15 Sri Lankans Rescued from Cybercrime Centres in Myawaddy, Myanmar to be Repatriated on 07 May 2025
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, in close coordination with the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Myanmar, has successfully facilitated the rescue of 15 Sri Lankan nationals who had been trafficked and forcibly employed in cybercrime centres in Myawaddy, Myanmar on 06th May 2025. The rescued individuals are scheduled to be repatriated to Sri Lanka on 07 May 2025.

At the invitation for Sri Lanka as the close counterpart by the Secretariat of the Senate of Thailand, the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka joined the Grassroots Economy Products Exhibition at the Thai Parliament from 26-27 September 2023 on the occasion of the 45 Anniversary of Senators Meet the People Project.
The President of the Senate, Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, Vice-Presidents of the Senate, Singsuk Singpai and Suphachai Somcharoen, Former President/Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand, Chuan Leekpai, Senators and members of the National Assembly admired the products displayed from the National Crafts Council, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Industrial Development Board, Ranfer Teas (Pvt) Ltd and Eswaran Brothers Exports (Pvt) Ltd and Ceylon Tea offered at the Sri Lanka booth.
