Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Bangkok Organizes Promotional and Networking Session for Sri Lanka EXPO 2027
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok organized a “Sri Lanka EXPO 2027 – Promotion and Networking Session” on 07 October 2026 in Bangkok, with the participation of prospective Thai business representatives, investors, buyers, industry stakeholders and journalists.
Sri Lankan Ambassador Meets Thai Minister of Public Health
H.E. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to Thailand, held discussions with the H E Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health of Thailand on 30 September 2026. The meeting highlighted the longstanding and close relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand, underpinned by strong bonds of friendship, cultural and religious affinity, and longstanding cooperation in a range of areas. The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
ในระหว่างการอภิปรายร่วมกันของเอกอัครราชทูต ซีเอ ชามินดา ไอ โคโลนเน่ เอกอัครราชทูตศรีลังกาประจำประเทศไทยและผู้แทนถาวรประจำUNESCAP พันเอก ศรัณยู วิริยเวชกุล รองผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานความร่วมมือพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้านแห่งประเทศไทย เห็นด้วยกับส่งเสริมและขยาย ความร่วมมือของ NEDA กับศรีลังกา เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2567 ณ สำนักงานความร่วมมือพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน (NEDA) แห่งประเทศไทย
สำนักงานความร่วมมือพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน (NEDA) เป็นองค์กรมหาชนที่ถูกก่อตั้งเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2548 (2005) ภายใต้ขอบเขตของกระทรวงการคลังแห่งประเทศไทย ในการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจในรูปแบบของการช่วยเหลือทางการเงินและทางเทคนิคแก่ประเทศเพื่อนบ้านได้ แก่ กัมพูชา ลาว พม่า และเวียดนาม
ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 (2013) คณะรัฐมนตรีไทยเห็นชอบที่จะกระจายความร่วมมือของ NEDA เจาะจงแก่สามประเทศ ได้แก่ ศรีลังกา ภูฏาณ และติมอร์เลสเต อย่างไรก็ตาม ศรีลังกาแตกต่างจากประเทศเพื่อนบ้านของไทยในหลายๆแง่มุม นอกจากนี้ ตั้งแต่วันนั้นจนถึงวันนี้ มีแค่ความร่วมมือในรูปแบบของการช่วยเหลือทางเทคนิคเท่านั้นที่ศรีลังกาได้รับจาก NEDA NEDA
ดังนั้น ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือกันในเรื่องของการแลกเปลี่ยนเยี่ยมเยือนโดยเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงของสองประเทศ เพื่อระบุขอบเขตความร่วมมือในอนาคต และเตรียมการให้ความช่วยเหลือจาก NEDA สําหรับการจัดตั้งสํานักงานบริหารหนี้สาธารณะ (PDMO) ในประเทศศรีลังกา
ผู้อำนวยการสำนักบริหารโครงการ นางสาวหทัยทัต มหาสุคนธ์ ผู้อำนวยการสำนักนโยบายและแผนการ นายระพิพิษณ์ พรหมนารท เจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสวิเคราะห์นโยบายและแผน ณภัทร ลิมารูน และเจ้าหน้าที่วิเคราะห์นโยบายและแผนการ นายวาสิทธิ์ อนันตวิเชียร จาก NEDA และเลขาเอก วิเรชิก้า บันดาราเข้าร่วมการอภิปรายหารือในครั้งนี้
