Sri Lankan Ambassador Meets Thai Minister of Public Health

H.E. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to Thailand, held discussions with the H E Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health of Thailand on 30 September 2026. The meeting highlighted the longstanding and close relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand, underpinned by strong bonds of friendship, cultural and religious affinity, and longstanding cooperation in a range of areas. The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังศรีลังกา เชฮัน เซมาสิงหะ เป็นผู้นำคณะผู้แทนศรีลังกาในการเข้าร่วมการประชุมครั้งที่4 ของคณะกรรมการนโยบายเศรษฐกิจมหภาคการลดความยากจนและการจัดหาเงินทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา วันที่ 1-3 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ณ สำนักงานคณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมสําหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (ESCAP) กรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย

รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังศรีลังกา เชฮัน เซมาสิงหะ เป็นผู้นำคณะผู้แทนศรีลังกาในการเข้าร่วมการประชุมครั้งที่4 ของคณะกรรมการนโยบายเศรษฐกิจมหภาคการลดความยากจนและการจัดหาเงินทุนเพื่อการพัฒนา วันที่ 1-3 พฤศจิกายน 2566 ณ สำนักงานคณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมสําหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (ESCAP) กรุงเทพฯ ประเทศไทย

หลังจากกล่าวเปิดงานโดยรองเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติและเลขาธิการ UNESCAP นางอาร์มิดา ซัลเซียะฮ์ อาลิสจะฮ์บานา(Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana) รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังของศรีลังกา เชฮัน เซมาสิงหะ (Shehan Semasinghe) ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ในการประชุม

ในการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังของศรีลังกาเชฮัน เซมาสิงหะระบุว่าการขาดดุลการคลังกลายเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาทั้งในประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้วและประเทศกําลังพัฒนา การกู้ยืมเพื่อการเงินงบประมาณต้องมองในแง่ใหม่ แท้จริงแล้วแนวทางใหม่เป็นสิ่งจําเป็นโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงความลำเอียงที่ไม่เหมาะสมของแนวทางปัจจุบันของความยั่งยืนของหนี้สาธารณะระยะสั้นโดยเสียค่าใช้จ่ายในการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมในระยะยาว

ในการประชุมครั้งนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตศรีลังกาและผู้แทนถาวร จมินทะ ไอ โกโลนเน ถูกเลือกให้เป็นรองประธาน

นอกรอบการประชุมรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้หารือทวิภาคีกับรองเลขาธิการสหประชาชาติและเลขาธิการUNESCAP นางอาร์มิดา ซัลเซียะฮ์ อาลิสจะฮ์บานา (Mrs. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana) รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการคลังของประเทศไทย จุฬาภรณ์ อมรวิวัฒน์ และความร่วมมือพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน (NEDA)
